The Flow — practicing at The Lineage

The Flow

Intensity

A vinyasa flow class that moves slower, holds postures for longer, and includes more emphasis on hip mobility and movement. The use of blocks and straps is encouraged to create more space to hold, breathe, and find space in the poses. We practice ujjayi breath. The Flow is our most popular class, it often sells out. This is a low lit class, taught to music. It is good for beginners to hot yoga and can still be challenging for all.

The Journey — practicing at The Lineage

The Journey

Intensity

The Journey is our power vinyasa class, built on the sequence created by Baron Baptiste. Movement is linked to ujjayi breath. You will sweat, build strength, and find your balance. It is a full body practice that will leave you feeling empowered and transformed. Expect a consistent pace and a real challenge.

The Kettlebell Class — practicing at The Lineage

The Kettlebell Class

Intensity

This class blends The Journey with a HIIT kettlebell session. Kettlebells of varied weight are available for class, or bring your own. Pick a heavy weight to build strength. This class will be challenging and rewarding. It is taught to upbeat music.

The Gentle Class — practicing at The Lineage

The Gentle Class

Intensity

This is a modified version of The Journey. We use blocks and straps to support the practice and take it down to a gentler experience. Ujjayi breath is practiced. This class can be prenatal friendly, so please notify the instructor of your condition to make sure the class is accessible and modifications can be provided. It is good for beginners and may be taught to music.

The Balance Class — practicing at The Lineage

The Balance Class

Intensity

The first half of this class is a yin class, with long, grounded holds of around three minutes each. The second half is based on The Journey, with a flow. This is a good class for those new to hot yoga, or for beginners. Music is played in this class. There is no late entry to this class.

The Yin Class — practicing at The Lineage

The Yin Class

Intensity

This is a mat based class where poses are held for three to five minutes, to target bones, joints, and connective tissue. Relax your muscles into a deep stretch and hold still for time. Yin is best practiced unheated, so please wear layers for your comfort, as yin can cool the body down. This class can be prenatal friendly, so please notify the instructor of your condition to make sure the class is accessible and modifications can be provided. It is good for beginners. Music is played in this class. There is no late entry to this class.

The Recovery Class — practicing at The Lineage

The Recovery Class

Intensity

This class blends the deep stretching of yin yoga with the long holds and mindful stillness of restorative yoga. Expect to relieve mental and physical stress and calm your nervous system. This class can be prenatal friendly, so please notify the instructor of your condition to make sure the class is accessible and modifications can be provided. It is good for beginners. Music is played in this class. There is no late entry to this class.

The Restorative Class — practicing at The Lineage

The Restorative Class

Intensity

This class uses extensive props like bolsters, blankets, eye and hand weights, and blocks to support the body in poses. Poses are held for 10 to 20 minutes. Restorative yoga is very accessible, and can support healing from illness, chronic disease, and trauma. This class can be prenatal friendly, so please notify the instructor of your condition to make sure the class is accessible and modifications can be provided. It is good for beginners. Music is played in this class. There is no late entry to this class.

The Yin Class + — practicing at The Lineage

The Yin Class +

Intensity

This is a longer version of The Yin Class, with guided meditation. The meditation may come at the beginning, the end, or both. This class can be prenatal friendly, so please notify the instructor of your condition to make sure the class is accessible and modifications can be provided. It is good for beginners. Music is played in this class. There is no late entry to this class.

The Pause — practicing at The Lineage

The Pause

Intensity

Our meditation classes include guided meditations in varying styles, along with mindful exercises and teachings. A breathwork exercise is usually offered. Bolster cushions are available, or bring your own. This class can vary in length from 40 minutes to one hour.

Burn — practicing at The Lineage

Burn

Intensity

Burn is based on the Inferno Hot Pilates sequence created by Gaby Walters. It focuses on glutes and core, with a standing cardio and strength series. Weights and bands are available and can be used to enhance the impact of the class. Expect to be challenged and to build strength. It is taught to hip hop and house music for high energy.

Aligned — practicing at The Lineage

Aligned

Intensity

Aligned is our mat based Pilates class, blending classical movements with contemporary variations. Weights, bands, and balls may be used to build strength and create a deeper impact. The class keeps a consistent core focus throughout. It is taught to music. Beginners can take this class.

Body Rock — practicing at The Lineage

Body Rock

Intensity

Body Rock is our weight based strength class. The class is structured in blocks of lower body, upper body, core, and glutes, each loaded with continuous tension to build real strength over time. Dumbbells, resistance bands, ankle and wrist weights, sliders, and balls are used throughout to challenge every major muscle group. Expect to be challenged and to feel real change in your body class after class. Music drives the room, expect high energy playlists, beat led intervals, and an upbeat soundtrack from start to finish.
